Established in 1901, The White Horse is one of Cork’s oldest public houses, run for many years by Mamie Murphy, the sister of Commandant Leo Murphy, one of the founders of the 3rd Battalion.
In 2009 Joe and Maura Carey took over The White Horse and it continues to be one of Cork’s finest establishments serving locally produced, high-quality food daily and a range of beers, stouts, spirits and wines. Upstairs at The White Horse is one of Ireland’s most intimate music venues. The White Horse is also home to The White Horse Guitar Club and The White Horse Brewing Club.
The bar at The White Horse is cosy, warm and full of character. Pictures of artists who have played here adorn the walls. The bar serves stout, international beer, spirits & wine and serves authentic, locally produced food all day.
The bar also hosts live music every Saturday night.
Our newly refurbished beer garden is colourful, full of character with flowers and bunting making this your very own festival themed garden for any summer party or night out. The beer garden is equipped with a vintage caravan that serves a selection of beers and wines throughout the weekend. Join us from 7pm every Friday for the summer season for a BBQ and music by Sonny and Friends (Sonny Greenwich, Niall McCabe & Mike O’Riordan)!
We can cater for private BBQs for groups of 25 or more and we also offer the option of renting The Beer Garden with The Kasbah (our private back bar and dining area) for larger events. View our BBQ menu HERE
The Kasbah is the perfect space all year round for wedding afters, birthday parties, christenings and office parties!
