The 16th Annual Ballincollig Winter Music Festival 2026 is proud to present Notes from the Margins, a reading series bringing together writers and artists that give a voice to those on the margins of society, featuring Nashwa Nasreldin, Somaia Abu Nada, James Leonard, Barry Kerr & Martin Leahy.
Some shared reflections might be:
– If you could say something to your younger self – as teenager or young adult – what would it be?
– Do you have a mission, or, what message do you have for the mainstream, or dominant culture?
– What do you think could change our society for the better?
– Is there not always a margin and a mainstream? Is this not part of life?
– What does it mean to confront the reality of privilege?
