(Reserve your spot today) BWMF25 proudly presents Cónal Creedon, Jane Clarke, Stephanie Keane, Alisa Vasilisa & Eoin Hegartyin an exploration on the theme of The Gift through writings, music and dance.

THE GIFT

An exploration on the theme of The Gift through music poetry, music and dance.This event brings together artists from different backgrounds who will each explore the the gift they were given by an inspiring moment or person earlier in their lives which led them to pursuing their art.

Poet Jane Clarke will compose and read a poem especially commissioned for the occasion and will discuss her her gift along with sean-nos dancer Stephanie Keane, Ukrainian harpist Alisa Vasilisa and Cork poet Eoin Hegarty which will also see performances from each of the artists.

Cónal Creedon

Cónal is an award-wining novelist, playwright and documentary filmmaker.

Jane Clarke

Irish poet Jane Clarke is the author of three poetry collections and two poetry booklets. Her three collections were published by Bloodaxe Books, The River in 2015, When the Tree Falls in 2019 and A Change in the Air in 2023. Jane’s third full-length collection A Change in the Air was shortlisted for the T S Eliot Poetry Prize 2023, the Forward Prize for Best Collection 2023, the Farmgate Café National Poetry Award 2024 and longlisted for the Laurel Prize 2023 for nature & ecopoetry.

Stephanie Keane

Dancer Stephanie Keane hails from Limerick city, where she learned Irish Step Dancing and competed at World Championship Level. Since moving to East Clare 15 years ago, she has pursued her passion to discover her own style and expression of dance through immersing herself in the tradition of the Sean Nós style of dance and learning Irish traditional tunes in her feet.

Eoin Hegarty
Eoin is a poet and school teacher from Cork, who was winner of the 2018 Cúirt Poetry Prize and runner up in the Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Competition.

Alisa Vasilisa

From Kharkiv in Ukraine, Alisa is an accomplished harpist, bouzouki player and music therapist and teacher.
