The Ceili All-Stars
The 16th Annual Ballincollig Winter Music Festival proudly presents The Ceili All-Stars
The Céilí Allstars are a traditional Irish music powerhouse known for their high-energy performances and deep roots in the Sliabh Luachra tradition.
The group first emerged from the session trail of Cork City in the late nineties, beginning as a gathering of friends before evolving into one of the region’s most beloved trad collectives. The current lineup features Michael O’Sullivan (banjo), Flor Rahilly (guitar and vocals), Stan O’Sullivan (fiddle), and Lisa O’Sullivan (fiddle). Their sound is defined by a distinct “Sliabh Luachra” style—a rhythmic, dance-focused tradition from the mountainous border of Cork and Kerry—infused with elements of folk and country.
Beyond their work as a traditional ensemble, the band’s members are stalwarts of the Irish music industry. Three of the group—Michael, Flor, and Stan—are also founding members of the acclaimed indie-rock band Stanley Super 800, a crossover that brings a unique contemporary edge to their traditional arrangements.
From long-standing residencies at legendary venues like The Lobby Bar and DeBarra’s Folk Club to international stages in Sri Lanka, Italy, and Russia, The Céilí Allstars have spent over two decades bridging the gap between old-world heritage and modern energy.
